TEHRAN – Secretary General of Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Martin Chungong on Saturday invited Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani to attend the 135th Inter-Parliamentary Union. He felicitated Larijani for his re-election to the post of the new parliament speaker.

“I am pleased to convey my heartfelt felicitation for re-election of Your Excellency as speaker of the new parliament,” Chungong said in his message, IRNA reported.

Secretary General of the IPU said that the IPU expects strengthening ties between IPU and Majlis.

“We are confident that under your leadership Iranian parliament will continue with active participation in IPU activities.”
