TEHRAN – Iranian legislators in a statement deplored the al-Khalifa regime for arresting religious and political leaders and stripping Shiite cleric Ayatollah Sheikh Issa Qassim of citizenship, calling it a big disgrace for those who claim to support human rights.

“The Iranian MPs condemn the Bahraini rulers’ harassment of the prominent cleric, violation of citizenship rights and hundreds of other crimes, including imprisonment of children and women, and detention of the political and religious leaders,” the statement said on Wednesday, the YJC reported.
