TEHRAN – Austrian architect Peter Trummer, who is currently in Tehran, is scheduled to hold a workshop today at the Center for Contemporary Architects.

The workshop entitled “The Third Architecture” begins at 11 am and will run until 6 pm, the center announced on Sunday.

A professor for urban design at the University of Innsbruck, Trummer is also slated to deliver a lecture at the Institute of Culture, Art and Architecture in Tehran tomorrow.

The speech will be delivered under the title of “The City as the Author of Architecture” at 5 pm.

Trummer is the head of the Institute for Urban Design (IOUD) at the University of Innsbruck.

He was formerly a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and is the former head of the Berlage Institute’s Associative Design Research Program in Amsterdam.

Based on an article published by the Berlage Center for Advanced Studies in Architecture and Urban Design, Trummer’s research focuses on population thinking in architecture; in particular, how city life, urban planning policies, economic desires and population growth may be better integrated into the design of living environments.
