TEHRAN – Tajik singer Davlatmand Kholov’s concert at the 32nd Fajr International Music Festival was cancelled on Sunday three days before his planned performance at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall after he suffered a stroke last week, the organizers announced.

Kholov is an expert in Falak, a kind of folk music common in the southern Tajikistan. He is also an old hand at playing dotar and setar.

The festival opened in Tehran on Friday and will run until Jan. 20.
