TEHRAN – Captain Mansour Ruholamini was officially appointed on Sunday as the new chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy Aviation, the Young Journalists Club reported.

The appointment followed a ceremony at the presence of Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari.

Ruholamini was promoted to the new post from former position as commander of District 1 of the Navy. He succeeds Rear Admiral Reza Esmailian in the new post.
