TEHRAN – President Rouhani’s special aide for citizenship affairs has said the next administration seems to lack women as ministers.

“The president is not happy with the pressure he faces over the makeup of the cabinet,” Elham Aminzadeh told ILNA in an interview published on Monday.

The same day, MP Fatemeh Hosseini said the future government should represent the voice of women.

Hosseini expressed regret that in 2017 the number of women occupying governmental posts has declined around the world.
