Iranian scholars attend conference on Caucasian folk culture in Turkey

TEHRAN – Several Iranian scholars are attending the 1st International Caucasian Folk Culture Congress underway at Kafkas University in the Turkish city of Kars.

Scholars Mohammad Hariri Akbari, Majid Teimurifar and Mohammad-Taqi Sattari are among the participating scholars from Iran, the university has announced.

Other scholars are attending from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Russia and Georgia.

Akbari is scheduled to speak about the connections between reality and tales, and Teimurifar will deliver a speech about the music of the Caucasus civilization at the conference.

Sattari’s article is about water resources in the Caucasus.

The congress, which will come to an end tomorrow, has been organized by Kafkas University to promote research on the Caucasian region.
