Bright future ahead for Asian para athletes

Asian young para athletes have the potential to make a name for themselves in the future.

With less than three years to go before the start of the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, the young Asian para athletes are certainly on the right path to success and with the amount of dedication and talent that they possess, the future for them is certainly bright.

They showed a great performance in the third edition of the Asian Youth Para Games held in Dubai, the UAE from Dec. 10 to 14.

Japanese, who are preparing to host the 2020 Paralympic Games, topped the podium with 28 golds, 13 silvers and 12 bronzes and it’s encouraging for the East Asian country.

Iranian para athletes finished in second in the standings with 26 golds, 26 silvers and 15 bronzes, while China are third with 16 golds and four silvers.

These kinds of competitions help people with disabilities to lift their spirits and also help develop self-confidence.

Now, Asia sees a bright future for his young para athletes since many of the participants will also partake at the 2018 Asian Para Games in Jakarta, Indonesia and will earn more experience for the 2020 Tokyo.

The third editions of the event attracted the largest number of athletes, 800 from 30 countries, and include the largest number of sports with seven.
