December 25, 2017

TEHRAN – Romanian director Cristian Mungiu’s acclaimed historical comedy “Tales from the Golden Age” will be screened at the Cinematheque of the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art tomorrow afternoon.

The screening, which will begin at 4 p.m., has been arranged as part of “A Review of the New Wave of Romanian Cinema”, a program that will screen films from several other filmmakers from the country.

The film is about a young woman’s attempts to procure an abortion under the regime of Nicolae Ceausescu, the last Communist leader of Romania who served as president of the country from 1974 until his overthrow in the Romanian Revolution in 1989.
