TEHRAN – Actor Reza Babak’s lifelong friends came together at the Sakoo Art School in Tehran on Friday to visit his painting exhibition.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, the 73-year-old Babak said, “I am not an artist because this is a profession, which has its own special requirements, but I like painting and the artworks on view reflect my personal feelings, which I have felt on the spur of the moment.”

He added that some of his friends had recommended that he organize the exhibition and he had wished it would turn into a gathering of friends for him.

Dozens of his colleagues and old friends, including Parviz Purhosseini, Bahram Shahmohammadlu, Behzad Farahani and Ehteram Borumand, attended the opening ceremony.

The exhibition is showcasing 30 paintings created over the past three decades.

The paintings on view invite the visitors to see bright, happy colors revealing the artistic mind of the actor.

Babak has painted his works with lines and colors that mostly reflect his feelings, while he has also tried to make fun of his own portraits along with some of his friends through his lines and colors.

His other works show his love for nature, a nature full of colors, simple flowers with a few purple or yellow lines resembling a big farm with autumn trees.

According to Sakoo director Narges Soleimanzadeh, the exhibition has been organized to celebrate Babak’s professional lifetime achievements.

The one-day exhibit was extended for three more days, due to popular demand.

The school is located at No.16, Nazanin Alley, Tabrizian St., Mirdamad Ave.
