Father of Iran’s cycling Agha Ghaffar passes away

TEHRAN – Hassan Agha Ghaffar, father of Iran’s cycling, passed away at the age of 87 in Tehran on Friday.

Agha Ghaffar was a pioneer for the sport in Iran and represented the country in the first international competition in Egypt in 1959.

Tehran Times staff wishes to express deepest sympathy and condolences to his family and Iran’s sports society.
