TEHRAN – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin will travel to Tehran on September 7 to attend a summit on the Syria peace process, a report said.

According to a statement by the Turkish president’s office, Erdogan will attend the third summit within the framework of the Astana peace process, Tasnim reported, citing Hurriyet Daily News.

Back in April, the presidents of Iran, Russia and Turkey – the three guarantor states of de-escalation zones in Syria – held a meeting in Ankara to discuss ways for peaceful settlement of the crisis in the Arab country.
