Iranian movies line up for Jordan festival

TEHRAN – Four Iranian films are competing at the 9th Karama Human Rights Film Festival now underway in Amman, Jordan.

“The Fog” co-directed by Ali Shurvarzi and Hossein Mahruqi and “Return” by Shahriar Purseyyedian will be screened in the short film competition of the festival, which opened on Wednesday. 

“Ballsy: Story of A Revolution” by Seyyed Mohsen Purmohseni-Shakib and “Power to the People” by Andia Afsar Keshmiri are competing in the animated film section of the festival that will run until December 10.

“You’re Are Not Alone” is the motto of this year’s festival, which aims to contribute to the understanding of the general situation of women around the world and in the Arab world in particular, the organizers have announced.
