TEHRAN – Hossein Amir Abdollahian, a senior foreign policy advisor to the parliament speaker, met on Monday with Qatar’s Ambassador to Tehran, Mohammed Hamad Saad al-Fahid al-Hajeri.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed regional and international developments, and exchanged views on expansion of parliamentary ties and positive collaborations, ILNA reported.

Iran’s ties with Qatar grew stronger after Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, and the UAE severed ties with Doha last year and closed all land, air and sea traffic to the small country.
