Iran, Croatia ink MOU on private sectors' joint investment

TEHRAN- Iran and Croatia signed a memorandum of understanding on joint investment between private sectors of the two countries, IRIB reported.

The MOU was signed during the two-day visit of Iranian Finance and Economic Minister Farhad Dejpasand to the European country on Tuesday and Wednesday.

After a meeting with his Iranian counterpart, Croatian Economy Minister Darko Horvat mentioned Dejpasand’s visit to his country as very significant in expansion of economic ties between Iran and Croatia and said his country has many potentials for cooperation with Iran in the fields of industrial and agricultural products.

He said the value of trade between Croatia and Iran increased 20 percent in 2018 from its previous year and expressed hope that it will rise also in 2019.

Dejpasand, who also visited Croatian prime minister and central bank governor during his stay, for his part said: “We expect that bilateral trade between Iran and Croatia will be at least doubled and it is approved by the Croatian officials as well.”
