TEHRAN – Iran has denied that it has any plan to organize a concert by two Azerbaijani female singers’ in Tabriz, East Azarbaijan Province.

There has been no application from any Azerbaijani female singer to perform in Tabriz, East Azarbaijan Culture and Islamic Guidance Department deputy director Ali Moharrami said in a press release on Monday. 

Over the past few days, rumors have begun circulating on a number Persian social networks that Azerbaijani singers Damla and Sebnem plan to perform a joint concert for an audience of females in the northwestern Iranian city of Tabriz in the near future.
