Iranian sports journalist Pooya Abbasi passes away

TEHRAN – Iranian wrestling journalist Pooya Abbasi has passed away at the age of 43 on Saturday.

Abbasi died following weight loss surgery in Rasht, Gilan Province.

He had worked in Iranian news agencies and several newspapers.

Pooya Abbasi is survived by his wife, as well as a son and a daughter.

Tehran Times offers its heartfelt condolence to his bereaved family.
