Four Iranian Films at Japan Film Festival

TEHRAN -- Four Iranian feature films have taken part in the 9th Asian Film Festival which is being held in Japan. According to the Public Relations Department of the festival, some 20 films from 11 countries have participated in this festival. The Iranian directors whose films will be screened in Japan's 9th Asian Film Festival include late Ali Hatami, Majid Majidi, Abolfazl Jalili and Ali-Reza Davoodnejad. Japanese critics believe that the Iranian films indicate that Iranian directors possess high potentials and capabilities and that they have taken remarkable measures to introduce Iranian culture to the world.
The Iranian film "Passenger of South" by Parviz Shahvazi won the first prize of Japan's Asian Film Festival last year.
