“204 St” by Zahra Kardani, is about the tragic event of the Mina stampede that led to the death of more than 7500 individuals. To set the narrative more on records, rather than just emotions, the author has applied the documentary style.

In order to discover her personal concerns and questions regarding this catastrophe, she made the difficult decision to go through a process of interviewing and researching in order to present her findings as a book.

There are four chapters in this book. The first chapter is dedicated to individuals who were actually present at 204 St, when the disaster occurred and witnessed their loved ones killed.

The second chapter focuses on the narrative from the view of fellow travelers, who were not personally there, and third chapter is about the investigation team, which was engaged in rescue and search since the early hours.

The final chapter is devoted to the families who lost beloved ones in the Mina stampede.

The narratives are generally about what happened in the Mina stampede, from different people’s perspectives. All the shocks, fears, hopes, doubts, sleeplessness, persistence, loneliness, and weeps have been described in this book.

Another strength is that it provides you multiple viewpoints on the catastrophe that you have never heard of through media or news, and it is said impartially.
