Over $500m Worth of Accords Signed in Tabriz Trade Fair

TABRIZ, East Azarbaijan Province Over $500 million worth of agreements were signed between participants in the 8th Tabriz International Trade Exhibition and different companies and businessmen, it was announced here on Saturday.
Habib Mahouti, managing director of Tabriz International Trade Exhibition added that some 740,000 visitors visited the exhibition.
The number of visitors increased by at least 10 percent as compared to the previous exhibition.
Addressing the concluding ceremony of the one-week exhibition, Yahya Mohammadzadeh, governor general of this northwestern province, said that trade exhibitions help evaluate potentials of industrial and agricultural sectors.
Such exhibitions will also pave the way for trade accords with different foreign countries, he added.
During the concluding ceremony, the best pavilions of the exhibition were given prizes by the provincial governor general.
A large number of companies from 16 world countries attended the Tabriz Trade Exhibition. The Iranian companies also put on display different kinds of products at 660 pavilions.
Tabriz Trade Exhibition is held annually.
