Tehran attractions welcomed by 3 million visitors

TEHRAN - Ahmad Alavi, head of the Cultural Heritage Committee of Tehran City Council, has announced that over three million people visited Tehran’s tourist attractions during the Nowruz holidays.

On Sunday, Alavi expressed his gratitude to all colleagues in the tourism and cultural sectors of the Tehran Municipality during today’s session of the Tehran City Council.

He stated, “This year, we had excellent cultural and tourism programs throughout the city, which were further amplified by the coinciding of Ramadan and Nowruz holidays, creating special conditions.”

Alavi highlighted, “Estimates indicate that approximately three million individuals visited tourist sites and participated in municipal programs during the Nowruz holidays, with a significant portion of them visiting Abbasabad attractions, Milad Tower, and house museums.”

According to Alireza Zakani, the Mayor of Tehran, during the Nowruz holidays, 19 different tourist routes were designated across Tehran for Nowruz tourists and fasting individuals.
