Yemen denies Israeli assassination claims

TEHRAN – Yemen’s Defense Ministry in Sanaa denies Israeli claims that recent airstrikes targeted and assassinated leaders from the Ansarallah movement
The ministry asserted that the attacks instead struck civilian areas. An official source told Yemen’s news agency, SABA, that “the new round of Zionist aggression is a failure like those before it.” The source added that Yemeni operations in support of Gaza will continue until the Israeli occupation regime’s genocide ends and the siege on Gaza is lifted.
The official emphasized that the strikes targeted civilian infrastructure and the Yemeni people as a whole due to their solidarity with Gaza, which is facing genocide and starvation in plain view of the international community.
The official also stressed that neither threats nor airstrikes will intimidate the Yemeni people or their leadership. Instead, these actions only strengthen their resolve and determination.
A senior military official also told regional news outlets that the enemy’s psychological and media warfare is ineffective and will not impact the course of Yemeni operations.
He also noted significant confusion within the Israeli establishment as it struggles to present a coherent narrative, adding that the Yemeni people, along with the people of the region, place no trust in Israeli claims and instead rely on statements from the Yemeni armed forces.
Mohammed al-Farah, a member of Ansarallah’s political bureau, described the latest Israeli strikes on Sanaa as a failure, saying they targeted densely populated civilian areas in a reckless and criminal manner.
He called the attacks a clear violation of international norms and a direct assault on civilians. Al-Farah stated that these strikes demonstrate the enemy’s aggression and its vengeful attitude toward the entire Yemeni population.
The politician also asserted that the Israeli regime would not be acting so brazenly without American and Western support.
He further reaffirmed Yemen’s firm stance in support of the Palestinian people, saying, “We will not stop until the aggression ends and the blockade on Gaza is lifted.”
Al-Farah also warned that the government in Sanaa is prepared to escalate its actions to increase pressure on Israel’s genocidal regime.
Reporters in Yemen said on Thursday that the attack on Sanaa appears to have been launched from the sea, with no fighter jets heard overhead. Just days earlier, occupation forces had targeted a fuel storage facility in southwest Sanaa, killing six people and injuring 86.
These ongoing attacks on Yemen come as Yemeni armed forces continue their operations deep inside Israel and maintain a naval blockade, all in support of Gaza.
Several Palestinian resistance factions strongly condemned the recent Israeli airstrikes on the Yemeni capital, calling the attack a reflection of the regime’s ongoing aggressive policies against the peoples of the region. They expressed full solidarity with Yemen, its people, and its resistance forces.
Hamas described the attack as a “cowardly war crime and a blatant assault on the sovereignty of an Arab state.” Calling it a clear violation of international laws and norms, Hamas stated that the aggression against Yemen, along with Israeli attacks on Syria and Lebanon and the ongoing massacres in Gaza highlight the grave threat posed by the Israeli occupation regime to the entire Arab and Islamic world.
Hamas also voiced full support for “the brotherly Yemeni people, their armed forces, and national resistance movements, particularly the Ansarallah group, who have reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Gaza despite the aggression.”
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Resistance Committees described the attack on Yemen as an indication that the Israeli regime is a “rogue, aggressive entity targeting the entire region and seeking to dominate its peoples.” Moreover, they called the assault “a clear sign of the Zionist regime’s failure in the face of Yemen’s resilience and military strength.”
The committees emphasized that this latest escalation, along with the situation in Syria and the daily massacres in Gaza, reflects the reality of the “Zionist regime as the central enemy of the region.” They praised the Yemeni people, leadership, and military for their steadfast support of Palestine and its resistance.
The Palestinian Mujahideen Movement also issued a strong condemnation of the attack on Yemen, calling it “an extension of the ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people and the entire region.”
