TABRIZ, East Azarbaijan Province Vice speaker of Parliament Mohammadreza Khatami said here Monday that democracy is the least costly way of administering the society.
The important matter in our country is that, we should employ instruments that are based upon the national will,'' he stated.
One of our problems is that public opinion is only counted at the ballot box and representatives also follow a top-down democracy,'' Khatami added.
He said in a democratic society, every body has the right to define and delineate their own concepts of reforms and its (reforms) implementation should also be put to public vote.
