Jhangvi Militant Owns Killing of Iranian Official

ISLAMABAD A top militant of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi has acknowledged responsibility for the killing of the director of Khana-e-Farhang Multan Dr. Muhammad Ali Rahimi and several other Shia Muslims.
Dilawar Ali, who was arrested a few days ago in the Pakistani city of Lahore, has admitted to have received training in Afghanistan, the Pakistani daily ****The News**** reported on Wednesday.
Dilawar, 28, told investigators that he was behind the killing of several other Shia Muslims, including the director of the Iranian cultural center in Multan.
After a year's training in a militant camp in Afghanistan, he acknowledged to have killed a Tehrik-e-Jafria activist, Murtaza Raza Qanbar, in the town of Hasilpur in central Punjab Province.
Dilawar said he had been targeting members of the Shia Muslim community since September 1988.
