Over 15 Countries to Be Represented at Imam Ali (AS) Congress in Tehran

TEHRAN Thinkers from over 15 different countries are scheduled to participate in the International Congress on Imam Ali (AS), Justice, Solidarity and Security, which is to be held in March.

The inauguration ceremony of the congress will be held in the Conference Hall of Tehran on March 12, 2001 and the closing ceremony on March 16 in Mashhad.

The Secretary of the Congress, Dr. Mahdi Golshani said: "Researchers from Britain, Austria, U.S., Canada, India, Pakistan, Australia, Lebanon, Syria, Morocco and Egypt are to present over 30 articles to the congress".

So far, some 200 articles have been sent to the secretariat of the congress by Iranian researchers.

He said an exhibition of written works on the First Imam of the infallible household of Prophet Mohammad (S), Imam Ali (AS), will also be held on the sidelines of the congress.

Books in English, Persian, Urdu and Arabic will be displayed in the exhibition and publishers can participate in the exhibition by presenting two issues of their published books before the beginning of the congress.
