SYDNEY A French tourist and her Australian boyfriend survived for three days on snake and coconuts on a tiny tropical island in Australia's north eastern corner, news reports Saturday said.

The pair were stranded when they missed the twice-weekly ferry from Queensland's Hinchinbrooke Island at what they hoped was the end of a four-day hiking holiday.

When the Wednesday ferry arrived a topless Sylvie Guer was standing on the jetty with a bearded and naked Nick Mure by her side.
