JAKARTA Indonesia needs some $28.45 billion in fresh foreign investment over the next decade to stave off a power crisis, which has already started to hit some parts of the country, a report said Wednesday.
According to an AFP, Mines and Energy Director General of Electricity Luluk Sumiarso said the new investments were needed to boost the country's power supply by 24,549 megawatts (MW), and build a new transmission network of 11,648 kilometers (7,221 miles) in the next 10 years.
