Muslims Condemn Affront Against Women in Zanzibar

TEHRAN Muslims in Zanzibar strongly protested against the perverted words leveled against the women who observe Islamic dress code, the IRIB overseas service reported.

The Friday prayer leaders in Zanzibar have strongly condemned an affront against ***hijab*** by Melody Music Group. The Friday prayer leaders said it was an insult against Islam.

The Melody Music Group has recently printed unethical words under the photo of a Muslim woman with the intention of insulting Muslim women.

The Muslims in Zanzibar have said their patience are getting thin with such behaviors and it is time to act against these offenses with all possible means.

However, the Simbava Monko ( Lion of God) Group has issued a statement saying they want to counter offenses against women in Zanzibar. In their communique they have warned those women who don't wear proper clothes will be flogged from August 1.

According to the surveys conducted by Tehran Radio a majority of Muslim have expressed their willingness to the flogging because they argue the insolent behaviors have increased in Zanzibar.
