TEHRAN -- Pakistan's ambassador to the United States told the Washington officials that a Pakistani nuclear scientist suspected of having links with Osama bin Laden could not have transferred nuclear know-how to the Al-Qaeda network, according to a CNN report.
He denied a report published by the U.S. daily **Washington Post** on Sunday, saying that the Pakistani nuclear scientist Bashiruddin Muhammad was a low-ranking official and did not have adequate information about sensitive nuclear materials.
However, the daily **Washington Post** had reported that Bashiruddin Muhammad was the former director of Pakistan's Atomic Energy Commission.
