Ceremony in Honor of Mokarrameh Qanbari Held in Isfahan

TEHRAN - A ceremony in honor of Mokarrameh Qanbari was held on Saturday at the Art University of Isfahan.
Artists and Isfahan officials attended the ceremony honoring the 73-year-old Mazandarani woman artist.
She is influenced by the poems of Amir Gohar Mazandarani.
Her paintings mostly depict the pain and hardship of rural women.
At the end of the ceremony, the Offices of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Isfahan and Mazandaran Provinces, the Isfahan and Mazandaran Museums of Contemporary Arts, and the Art University of Isfahan gave her an honorary plaque and some prizes.
Mokarrameh Qanbari was born in 1928 in northern Iran and has won several prizes.
Moreover, she was named one of Iran's elite women of 2001 by the Women Researchers Foundation of Stockholm University in Sweden.
