Iranian Miniaturist Nikzad Pass Away

TEHRAN -- The famous Iranian miniaturist Ali Asghar Nikzad has passed away. He was born in Tabriz in 1924. He created many miniatures, including the Qadir Khom miniature, during his life.
Nikzad entered the Tehran School of Fine Arts in 1941. In this school he learned the details and mysteries of this great art along with artists such as late masters Mohammad Ali Zavieh , Ali Karimi and Hossein Behzad.
The master was busy creating valuable and beautiful paintings even in the last days of his life in addition to teaching this art to his students.
The artistic works of this gifted master reveal his great power of creation.
It is worth mentioning that the funeral procession for this artist will be held today at 8 o'clock from his house in Shariatee street next to Hosseinieh Ershad.
