Iran, Khartoum Stress Need to Expand Mutual Cooperation

TEHRAN -- Iran's Ambassador to Sudan Hamid Bayat in Khartoum on Monday submitted a written message from the Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi to his Sudanese counterpart Mustafa Osman Ismail

Bayat and Ismail stressed the need to expand mutual cooperation in the international fora, including the upcoming ministerial meeting of foreign ministers of the Organization of the Islamic Conference

They also highlighted the eagerness to develop mutual views on several global issues, particularly the Palestinian crisis.

Ismail recalled the need to expand mutual ties, and stressed that Sudan welcomes Iranian enterprises, particularly the private sector, to invest in its economy.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Sudanese foreign minister stressed Khartoum's resolve to diversify relations with the Islamic Republic in all areas, and reiterated that any mutual cooperation would bene
