Jenin Video Implicates Israeli Army in Killing Children

LONDON -- The BBC said Saturday that it had obtained a video implicating the Israeli army in killing two Palestinian children in Jenin two weeks ago, IRNA reported.

The killings come after Israel was accused of massacring civilians in the refugee camp two months ago, but set a precedent by refusing to allow a UN war crimes fact-finding mission.

The latest footage showed a tank firing two shells at a retreating group of Palestinian civilians running away and captures the last moments six-year-old Ahmad Abu Aziz and his 13-year-old brother Jamil.

The dead boys' father, Youssef Abu Aziz said that his sons had gone out to buy some chocolate, thinking that the Israeli curfew had been lifted.

BBC correspondent Orla Guerin said that the Israeli army had many questions to answer about the killing, including why soldiers did not first fire warning shots and why tank shell were used against a group of civilians.
