TEHRAN -- The Majlis deputy representing Kouhdasht, Ali Emamirad, here Wednesday hailed the stances of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on the matter of foiling domestic and foreign threats against the country.

Emamirad, who delivered a speech in Wednesday's pre-deliberation session of the Majlis, said the massive turnout of Iranians in the July 19 demonstration was an expression of support for the Islamic leadership. It further depicted the sovereign authority of the country and humiliated global arrogance and its domestic supporters, he added.

The Majlis Energy Commission member further said that any plot to harm the Islamic Republic is doomed to fail, thanks to the vigilance of ****velayat-e faqih**** (Islamic jurisprudence) in safeguarding Iran's domestic affairs.
