TEHRAN -- The Iranian film, ***"Children of Oil"***, made by Ebrahim Forouzesh , won the prize for the best long film in Avanca Film Festival in Portugal.

The international Avanca Film Festival was held in Portugal from 24th to 27th of July.

***"Children of Oil"*** has won five international prizes in 14 festivals, Public Relations Office of the Center for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (CIDCYA) reported.

Outdoing the other films including ***"H3"***, joint product of Ireland, England and Portugal and the French film,***"Yes"***, the Iranian film received first prize of Avanca festival.

The short film, ***"Beyond the Hedge of Heaven"***, made by Farshad Fereshteh was also given the prize for the best video film of the festival.

***"Children of Oil"*** had been already selected as the winner of the best film for children by Zelin Film Festival in Czech Republic, and had won the best-story prize of Olympia Film Festival in Greece, Golden Plate of Houston Film Festival in the U.S., and Golden Elephant of Hyderabad Film Festival in India.
