ZABOL -- Some 300 Afghan refugees residing in Zabol in the southeastern Province of Sistan-Baluchestan voluntarily left for Afghanistan on Thursday.

The group brought the total number of Afghans returning home from Zabol to 5,537 since the implementation of the UNHCR-sponsored plan.

The tripartite accord envisages the repatriation of 400,000 Afghan refugees by the end of the current Iranian year in March 2003, IRNA reported.
