Women Breadwinners Receive Stipend for Supporting Family

Tehran - The director general of the Social Security Organization (SSO) of the Islamic Republic of Iran has announced that the SSO Supreme Council has passed a resolution to give women heads of households a stipend.

According to the SSO Public Relations Department, SSO Director General Hossein Sharifzadegan, said on Monday that the objective of this resolution is to support women heads of households and orphans and also as a measure to help the family after the death of father, on the basis of tenets Islam.

Sharifzadegan noted that based on the new sanction of the supreme council of SSO and also in a bid to help the insured covered by the organization, it was stipulated that the maximum payment to retired people would be increased from Rls. 2,500,000 to Rls.3,000,000.

He concluded by saying that the increase would absorb many experts and other people into the organization who receive more salary for their expertise and the sort of their job.
