Tehran To Host Seminar of Iranian Cultural Attaches

TEHRAN - The fourth Seminar of Iranian Cultural Attaches assigned to foreign countries is being held August 13-20 at the Imam Khomeini Complex.

Expediency Council Chairman Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani is scheduled to give the opening speech.

Fifty Iranian cultural envoys currently on duty in various countries will participate in the 8-day seminar.

The seminar aims to study and analyze new international conditions and changes in the cultural field, to familiarize the attaches with Iran's current conditions, to clarify the new programs of the Islamic Relations and Culture Organization (IRCO), to boost Iranian cultural activities abroad, to study the destructive effects of the militaristic atmosphere created by the United States in the world on the cultural relations of nations, and to study ways to facilitate interaction between intellectuals of the Islamic world and other countries.

Meetings with Iranian officials and cultural figures are also scheduled.
