Iran Lifts Bahrain Intl. Beach Volleyball Title

TEHRAN -- Islamic Azad University (IAU) representing Iran in an international beach volleyball tournament in Bahrain won the top title.

Clashing in Manama, IAU comprising the duo Ebrahim Sansabili and Rahman Raoufi beat 'Bahrain A' side 2-1, winning the crown.

The varsity team had earlier defeated Libya (champion of Africa), Bahrain C, Qatar B, India A, and Paykan of Tehran.

According to IRNA, Paykan finished fourth after a loss to 'Bahrain B'.

Sansabili was announced 'Player of the Tournament'.
