Iranian Pop Singer Farhad Passes Away

TEHRAN -- Iranian pop singer and musician Farhad Mehrad passed away in Paris Saturday night at the age of 59.

He was among the handful of singers who continued their artistic work after the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran.

His memorable "Unity Song," aired in the heyday of the victory of the Revolution praises the Holy Prophet of Islam.

His main works include "Bloody Friday", "Grey Week", and "Alleys".
