TEHRAN Substitute Friday prayers leader of Tehran Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani, addressing worshipers here Friday, referred to the Leader's recent message to the pilgrims of the Holy Mecca which had underlined the need for better knowing the enemies. We take the Leader's heed and follow it seriously, Ayatollah Emami Kashani said. Ayatollah Emami Kashani, also a member of the Guardian Council, condoled the ummah over the incident in Mena, 10 kilometers from Mecca in which over 150 pilgrims lost their lives.

The ayatollah added that the Muslim professor, writer and scholar Roger Garaudy in his book A History of Apostasy, Myths of the Founders of Israel has maticulously conducted a research on the enemies of Islam. He said that Garaudy's research demonstrates the nature of the policy makers of the U.S. administration and proves that it is the Zionist regime which determines the policy of the United States of America. Leader of the Friday prayers underlined that Muslims should make the enemies of Islam despondent.

Dwelling on recent treatments of the U.S. officials towards the Iranian national wrestling team in Chicago, the ayatollah regarded it as a clear indication of the U.S. enmity against the Islamic Republic of Iran. (IRNA)
