TEHRAN - "The Leader's decree for a review of Seyed Hashem Aghajari's verdict was the most appropriate answer to the people's demands," said Wednesday, the Chancellor of Hamedan University, Mansour Gholami, IRNA reported.

"Given the verdict, the students and protesting groups' requests were responded to and there is no need for any more turmoil and disturbance in the society," he added. Gholami explained, "now that the students and the supporters of the Islamic System's have realized their demand, the Judiciary should be given time to solve the problem accordingly."

"It is not appropriate to confront a critic who has long served the Islamic System and the revolution and has even apologized for his words, in such a manner," the Hamedan University chancellor continued. He expressed hope that "through foresight, in case of the revolution's children's possible mistakes in the future, officials should avoid such harsh legal responses and only think about maintaining calm in the society."
