TEHRAN -- "Unfortunately, 95 percent of the country's existing residential units lack any kind of insurance whatsoever, said an official of the Dana Insurance Company. On the second day of a gathering titled "Insurance and Family", director of fire insurance of the company added, "The insurance culture is not well defined and families are aliens to the insurance industry."

Tabesh also highlighted the necessity and importance of the insurance industry in people's daily life. He referred to the long-lasting insurance culture saying that even during the time of the Prophet Mohammad (S) insurance existed.

Regarding the fire insurance fees, he explained that the money paid for the children's junk food by the families is way below the amount Rls.100,000,000 paid for the fire insurance.

Dr. Nowrouzi was another speaker at the gathering. He elaborated on the family niche in the society and said, "The relationships between the family members are very delicate and even unpredictable."

"In a research carried out in a school in Tehran, it was concluded that all the 26 weak students under the study came from unstable families," he said.
