Sadra capable of undertaking all Azadegan works
“We are capable of performing all the engineering, drilling and equipment installation operations required for the development of Azadegan Oilfield, the Iranian oil company official said.
Sadra has expressed its readiness to substitute the Japanese oil company, Inpex, that withdrew from developing Azadegan field. “We submitted our proposal to the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) to carry out the project. We are waiting to hear a response from NIOC to begin the work, the Persian service of Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) quoted him as saying.
Following the recent announcement by Inpex that it did not want to complete the development of Azadegan field, the stakes of the Japanese contractor were reduced to 10 percent from the initial 75 percent. Enjoying 90 percent of the shares of the project, the Iranian firm, Nikoo Co., affiliated to the NIOC is seeking bids from contractors to develop the project.
