PRAGUE, May 17 (MNA) -- Iranian and Czech officials reviewed new possible ways to boost Tehran, Prague trade cooperation, Deputy Commerce Minister Mehdi Ghazanfari said on here Saturday.

IRNA quoted Ghazanfari as saying that, “the two countries trade cooperation is not currently at a desirable level and the Iranian and Czech officials are making efforts to boost their trade.”
A one-day seminar to introduce Iran and Czech’s trade and investment opportunities was held in Prague, the Czech capital on Friday.
Ghazanfari added that removing the obstacles in the way of the two countries’ trade cooperation was the main objective of the seminar.
Referring to his meetings with several officials of the Czech Republic, he said the two sides underlined the need for cooperation in the areas of energy, transportation, construction of power plants, tourism and environment.
Currently Tehran-Prague trade value stands at $50 million. Iran’s export to the Czech Republic makes up for $15 million.
Foodstuffs, dried fruits, herbal drugs, construction stones and carpets are Iran’s major export items to the Czech Republic.
