Paykan wins Asian Volleyball Club Championship

Paykan claimed the title of the 2010 Asian Men’s Volleyball Club Championship on Sunday.

The Iranian representative defeated Qatar’s Al Arabi 3-1 (26-24, 25-22, 22-25, 25-19) and sealed the championship for the fifth successive year. Paykan has won the Asian championship seven times.
Peyman Akbari from Paykan was chosen as tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
Paykan also booked a berth in the FIVB Men’s Club World Volleyball Championship which will be held in Qatar later this year.
The 2010 Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship brought together a total of 11 Asian teams.
