Stephen Jackson, the Charlotte Bobcats's leading scorer, has been suspended one game for verbal abuse of a game official and failing to leave the court in a timely manner after his ejection, the NBA said Tuesday.
The fine followed an incident during Charlotte's 104-101 loss at Milwaukee Saturday after Jackson was assessed two technical fouls midway through the first quarter. The suspension, which kept Jackson out of his team's game against New Orleans on Wednesday, comes about three weeks after he was fined $50,000 for verbal abuse of officials.
Jackson has averaged 18.1 points in 17 games this season.
