KERMANSHAH – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has said that the enemies’ conspiracies against Iran are indicative of the fact that the Islamic Republic is heading in the right direction.

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in an address to a gathering of local officials of Kermanshah Province on Thursday.

If Iran had not been moving on the path of progress and prosperity, the enemies would not have made any effort to stand in the way of the Iranian nation, he added.

Ayatollah Khamenei also advised the country’s officials to provide sincere services to the people and said that officials’ quality of work could either elevate the status of or discredit the Islamic system.

The Leader also thanked the Iranian people for their presence on the scene and said, “Words fail me to thank the great people (of Iran). They are ahead of all officials in defense of Islam and the Islamic Revolution.”          

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Leader commented on the popular uprisings rolling across the Middle East and North Africa region and said that the Islamic Revolution has served as a model for the uprisings occurring in the region.
