IIDCYA to host 8th Intl. Children’s Art Competition

TEHRAN -- The Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) will hold the 8th International Children’s Art Competition with the central theme of water.

Over 3500 works from different countries in addition to 1500 works by Iranian children and young adults have so far been submitted to the secretariat of IIDCYA.

The works are coming from 38 countries including Turkey, Poland, Uzbekistan, India, Bulgaria, Argentina, Russia, Greece and Armenia, IIDCYA has announced in a press release on Wednesday.

The main theme of the biennial is water to help draw the attention of children to the water shortage, the aftermath of the water crisis and how to save water.
 
Art expert Sirvan Kanani, children’s book illustrator Narges Mohammadi and artist Sudabeh Shiran will begin to judge the works on November 5.
