“Endgame” goes on stage at Tehran theater

TEHRAN – An Iranian troupe led by director Mohammad-Mehdi Shahi is performing Irish playwright Samuel Beckett’s “Endgame” at the Molavi Hall in Tehran.

The 1957 play is set after some sort of apocalyptic disaster. Hamm, an aged blind master, his servant Clov and his legless parents Nagg and Nell are trapped together in Hamm’s home.

Majid Asghari, Rahil Ruhanizadeh, Mostafa Moqimi and Hamidreza Noqredust are the main members of the cast for the play, which will be on stage until December 23.
